An unsuspecting young woman begins dating a paparazzi photographer whose photo of her turns her life upside down. What will happen when she finds out his true identity?

Plot Summary and Other Info
"Beth unwittingly becomes the subject of an award-winning magazine’s cover and goes on a quest to uncover the true identity of the mystery photographer who snapped her photo."
Released in 2023 as part of Hallmark Channels Spring Into Love programming, "A Picture of Her" was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and stars Rhiannon Fish and Tyler Hynes.
My thoughts
As always, Tyler Hynes, who plays Jake, exudes an easy going charm that makes him both likeable and believable.
Rhiannon Fisher, who plays Beth, has a lot of childish mannerisms and at times uses baby talk. While some might find this endearing, I found it highly annoying and distracting.
Beth travels from Washington to LA to help out her Aunt Dody who has recently suffered a leg fracture. The only thing I saw Beth do to help her aunt was move a few orchid plants. Poor Aunt Dody spent the movie cooking dinners, getting her own tea, and basically doing everything Beth should have done for her.
I appreciate that there was a different pacing to this movie. We get to see our main characters dating with no competing fiancés, girlfriends, boyfriends, businesses, amnesia, etc.
At times, the background music was so loud that it was difficult to hear the dialogue.
You'll need to suspend reality when it comes to Beth being swarmed by the public trying to take selfies with her based on a picture in a free regional magazine.
What I really didn't like was that Jake didn't come right out and confess that he was the photographer who took her picture. Beth was rightfully upset when she found out.
Most memorable line
"That's ancient water under a very, very distant bridge."
Final thoughts
Even Tyler Hynes couldn't save this one for me! While I enjoyed the fact that this was a different type of story than what Hallmark Channel typically gives us, I just couldn't get past the childish mannerisms of Beth or the fact that Jake didn't confess that he was the photographer. I won't be watching this one again.
On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 2
