Plot summary and other info
"Maggie Conway’s had it with big-city living, especially after her husband-to-be leaves her at the altar – literally! She moves to small-town Washington State, opens a toy store dedicated to expanding kids’ imaginations … and meets Mark Nagle, proprietor of the local coffee shop. Mark’s number one priority is his six-year-old niece, Holly, whose mother has passed away, leaving him caregiver-in-chief along with her two other uncles. Holly hasn’t spoken a word since her mother died, and the three men try relentlessly to get her to speak. Is there room in Maggie and Mark’s busy lives for romance? To be (in love) or not to be (in love) -- that is the question!"

My thoughts
The movie was both sad and heartwarming. It pulls at your heartstrings without being overly sentimental, and although the pacing of the film is slow, it works.
Due to the trauma of losing her mother, six-year-old Holly has stopped communicating and has been placed in the care of her youngest uncle Scott.
Watching Scott learn how to raise Holly was believable and sweet. I loved the connection he has with his niece, there's a real trust and bond there.
Holly's two other uncles offer some needed comedic relief in an otherwise serious movie. I especially loved the scene of the brothers attempting to make Thanksgiving dinner!
Eloise Mumford plays toy shop owner Maggie, who forms a bond with both Holly and Scott.
While Maggie and Scott's love story was slow to unravel, I didn't mind in the slightest. It felt realistic.
For me, "Christmas with Holly" was more about the familial love of these brothers coming together to help their young niece and the romantic storyline felt secondary. I absolutely loved it! It's such a different type of storytelling for Hallmark Channel and definitely one I can get behind.
The casting was absolutely spot on and the actresses who played Holly had wonderful chemistry with everyone she interacted with!
Most memorable line
"Island living, gossip has nowhere to go here but in circles."
Final thoughts
From start to finish, this movie was perfection and one of the best that Hallmark Channel has ever made! It's a beautiful story of loss, love, hope, and healing. I will gladly watch this movie over and over again!
On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 5
