In the movie "Window Wonderland", two colleagues compete for the same promotion, and realize they have more in common than their love of the job in this witty and charming Hallmark Christmas movie.
Plot summary and other info
"It's no holds barred when two Manhattan department store employees vie for the same job during the busy Christmas season. Sloan Van Doren (Chyler Leigh) is a driven young woman determined to become the next window dresser at McGuire's department store and to uphold a 95-year-old artistic holiday tradition. Serious and professional, she's the polar opposite of the happy-go-lucky Jake Dooley (Paul Campbell), who also wants the job. When Mr. Fitch (Matty Finochio), the head of advertising and promotion, gives them a challenge, the competition is on: each will create a series of seasonal storefront windows twice a week until Christmas. The creator of whichever window display gets the most attention from passersby will get the job.
As they go through their paces, with Jake's obvious talent grabbing the public's attention, a silent but mutual attraction develops between the pair, hampered by the contest and the presence of Kenneth (Cameron Mathison), Sloan's blueblood boyfriend, who can't understand the importance Sloan is placing on this job. Supporting the efforts of the window dressers are McGuire's veteran window washer Mac (Terence Kelly) and brassy bathroom attendant Rita (Naomi Judd) who have eyes for each other but haven't done anything about it yet. Love is in the air at McGuire's, but things aren't exactly what they seem. Who will win in this love triangle?"

My thoughts
Ok, this movie was fun!!
The story is simple, a man and woman compete for a promotion as head window dresser in an upscale New York City department store.
Chyler Leigh plays Sloan, an uptight and ambitious woman who is so focused on getting ahead that she lies about her background and about the fact that the bathroom attendant at the store is her mother.
Paul Cambell, plays Jake, a free spirit who is having such a hard time making ends meet that he is secretly living in the store!
Sloan and Jake have amazing chemistry and their banter is fantastic!
It's easy to root for them and even though the overall feel of the movie is lighthearted, there are a few serious moments sprinkled in that help keep it grounded.
There's a beautiful rooftop scene where they reveal their true selves, along with a romantic slow dance.
Sloan is dating a wealthy "suit", played by Hallmark favorite, Cameron Mathison and he does a good job being unlikeable.
"Window Wonderland" also stars Naomi Judd in a supporting role as Sloan's mother, and she steals every scene she's in!
The romance between Sloan and Jake is a slow burn and it's an enjoyable watch!
The only negative I found with the movie was the underwhelming window displays.
I thought they looked cheap and not at all believable as professional window displays in an upscale New York City department store at Christmas.
Most memorable line
"I am a facade. I'm like a window. That's what we do, we create perfect images for people to admire."
Final rating
"Window Wonderland" is a fun, funny, and absolutely charming movie that I would gladly sit down to watch over and over again!
On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 4.5
